Linda Kasabian should have been charged.

I can't believe Bugliosi let this one pass, does anybody know his reasoning? I know she had immunity but why did they have to offer that in exchange for her testimony? They could have offered her a REDUCED sentence. I mean this b*tch was aiding and abetting 4 murders. This is insane.

Because she was the ONLY one, who showed any remorse, she didn't kill any one, she claims anyway that she didn't know what the others planned on doing when they went up there, she thought it was just another one of their "creepy crawls",where they would break into people's homes and rearrange furniture, etc..AND she was a star witness.

The prosecution figured she was safe enough to grant immunity to, since she didn't exhibit any bizarre, homicidal tendencies like the others.

She said that during the murder, her first instinct was to run away and try to find help, but she was on the property of a fairy secluded canyon top home, and the nearest home was quite a distance away. She said she froze and figured someone would come running after her as well.

My issue with her however, is why didn't she get the hell out of dodge THAT night, like when they arrived back at the ranch after the murder. After seeing what these, nut jobs were capable of...I would have packed myself and the kid she had up, and hitchhiked the hell out of there. I'm sure SOMEONE would have picked her up since people in the sixties were usually a lot more amenable to hitchhikers back then.

However, I don't think she went on to live a great life. She had issues with drugs, which she did do time for, and the daughter Tonya, that she had with her..grew,up to become a hardcore meth dealer in Washington state.

Oh please, what remorse. I admit I haven't read much about her as I read about the others, but she was there BOTH NIGHTS, she was an accomplice and co-conspirator!! to seven murders no less!! It's obscene that they didn't formulate charges, she should be serving a life sentence right now.

She was the only licensed driver in the group, and I don't think they wanted to risk being pulled over. Plus, After seeing what they did at the Tate house...I think she was scared of what would happen to her and her kid, if she refused to drive them around.

People have been condemned of accessory for far less.

reply

They had her baby.

reply

Her baby girl was in the ranch.

reply

She has said that she feels she should have been punished for her involvement in the murders.

reply

Of course she should. Aided in the murder of almost 10 people.
