Saw at Radio City Music Hall

I saw this at the Radio City Music Hall over the 4th of July when I also saw the tall ships. I think I would have enjoyed this film anywhere, it was so funny. For some reason, the film did not do well with the public or the critics. I have to rent it sometime to see why. I am sure that I will just like it again. Any one else?

Why oh why did this movie do so dismally? I saw it at the theater when it first came out -- twice -- and learned all the songs (which isn't difficult, as they're repeated often throughout). As soon as it was available on videotape I bought a copy, and now I have it on DVD. SOOOOO funny!

Yes, and the two male leads were great.

I saw it at Radio City in July 1976 too,the only time I ever visited New York City. I always thought it was a pretty good movie, although it might be because I have fond memories of my only trip to NYC.

This is the kind of bad film that nearly had them tear down Radio City, It is long. witless and almost virtually inept, and deserved the pans heaped on it by the critics. What a dog!
