Love this film!
I re-watched "Gus" recently. I used to love this film when I was a kid. I discovered I still love it even as a grownup. Gary Grimes is very cute as Andy & so is the football kicking mule.
shareI just watched this film for the first time in about a couple of years and it was just as good as I remembered. It has a really wonderful ending where Andy gets to make the touchdown and show his father he is a hero. Also I love Bob Crane and Johnny Unitas as the announcers. I love it when Crane loses his voice after hogging the broadcast and Unitas really lets go. I still laugh very hard when I see that scene. Great film with a great cast.
shareWe actually watched this film in school when I was in like the fifth grade. I remember loving it then and I just watched it not too long ago again and it was still wonderful. They just don't make them like that nowadays.

I seriously hope none of you live in my neighborhood. I'm going to have to watch my kids extra close.
In the early '80s my stepbrother and I watched this movie countless times. We absolutely loved it (I think we were 5-6ish). I'm showin it to my 4YO godson tonight and he loves the "horse" (we've had a very spirited discussion on mules vs. horses, but I've finally given up). It's cheesy but I still love it.
