Just watched this on the horror channel and they've cut it to bits! The bear attacks are missing and the scene where George and Prine find the eaten torso of Jaekel was missing altogether! Well maybe not altogether as you see them both in the woods approaching something and the next they're looking quite sad back in the helicopter! If these channels are not going to screen these films in their entirety then they shouldn't bother!

this was a UK cinema release years ago and carried an 'A' certificate, the equivalent of the current 'PG' or a low grade '12'
apparently the film was cut as follows and this could be the version screened by Horror Channel

Reel 1 - Two close ups of bloody face of first girl killed, and shot of dismembered arm were removed.
Reel 1 - Sight of Joan's very bloody body as discovered by Kathy was removed.
Reel 2- Close up of very bloody face of woman killed in tent was removed.
Reel 4 - Attack on woman and child was reduced. In particular sight of boy's body with one foot missing and blood running down his leg was removed.
Reel 5 - Apparent killing of Scott the first time was reduced. Close ups of his bloody face as the bear buries him were removed, and the incident of him rising from the grave to confront the bear again was reduced.
Reel 5 - Close ups of blood oozing from Don's mouth were removed.
Thanks for that, Brain! I do remember Jaekel's body with no arms,legs or head when the two heroes found it in the woods though and found it odd that they referred to it but didn't show it considering it's on the horror channel though!

It was on at something like 6:30PM, last night! At least put it on later...
I can only rate the version I saw... but I wish I'd seen it as it were intended!
