I'm not real familiar with all of Jerry's movie work but..... It's a little difficult seeing him play the heavy.

shareJerry Reed was really good as the heavy. He had just the right combination of menace and humor. The scene where he kills the federal agent is excellent. "Go for it. It's right in front of ya. You can reach it. You're thinkin' about it, aincha. Well go ahead. You might even make it."
When he went all humor is when his acting suffered, as in Smokey and the Bandit part three.
