Netflix has anamorphic widescreen DVD !!?

On the disk itself it shows the MGM logo, and at the bottom of the disk it reads "Copyright: 2009 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. All Rights Reserved. Copyright: 2009 FOX". The disc label is white, with black lettering.

This suggests the (region 1 playable) DVD came out in 2009, put out by either Fox or MGM. Yet, when searching for it on Amazon and elsewhere, there's no domestic release whatsoever that's listed... It's as if it never came out.

What's going on here?? This is very odd -- how did Netflix get their hands on a DVD that doesn't seem to have been released in the US ? I'm not imagining this; I'm holding the actual disc in my hand after watching it. Great tranfer by the way, despite having no extras, no chapters, but I didn't mind. Just glad they had it available.

Still, I'd like to know where this DVD can be bought. Any ideas ? Thanks.
