Wasn't he in this movie, too?

There's a scene towards the end of the movie where Ida Lupino is in the kitchen and a rat breaks in the window and kills her. I could swear this is the same rat from the 1983 movie Nightmares. I realize it was 7 years later and I don't know how long rats live, but their resemblance, mannerisms and acting style were uncannily similar.

Starrbeat presents what's happening.

No, it was not Squiggly, the star of FOTG. You have a sharp eye tho, the rat in Nightmares is Squiggly's nephew, Cuddly Pet. Cuddly Pet came from a great show biz family and had a daughter who went on to a film/TV career as well.

Wow, what a coincidence. Just last month I was taking one of those Hollywood tours- Homes of the Stars, when the guide pointed out Cuddly Pet had just purchased a burrow underneath the garage of Tony Danza's mansion. According to the brochure, after a heavy rain, Cuddly enjoys lounging next to a puddle in the alley, reading his fan mail and chowing down on beans from Danza's kitchen.
Apparently, Cuddly Pet is now retired and recently married his childhood hamster sweetheart. Governor Schwarzenegger attended the ceremony.

Trivia = Bright Eyes, a veteran who had supporting roles in both the original Willard and Ben, can be spotted in several crowd scenes in FotG. She was a highly respected coach/teacher at the time and Squiggly considered her his mentor early in his film career. Unfortunately she passed away before the making of FotG II sixteen yrs later. She was considered quite the beautiful doe in her day.
