A DVD?

Does anyone know about a DVD-release, if yes, when it was released and by which publisher?

Dear Daed: No DVD release for FLOOD! at the moment. I've got the Warner Bros. VHS homevideo. Hard to say when (or if) FLOOD! will materialize on a legal DVD release. Don't hold your breath, though, or you may suffocate while waiting!

I'm assuming you're from the USA here, but since FLOOD! was a TV movie and it ever does get released on DVD, it doesn't need to be in Anamorphic Widescreen because the Aspect Ratio of a TV movie is 1:33 to 1 since the movie was filmed to fit a normal U.S. TV screen in the 1970's. Anamorphic Widescreen is 1:85 to 1 and the picture would have to be blown up and then then the top and bottom of the picture would be cut off by the matte when the Anamorphic process is done. So be leery even if FLOOD! is released on DVD someday.

Same goes for its "sister" movie FIRE!, released the next year on TV and which is also on a Warner Home Video VHS tape.

It's funny you mention that 'Irwin Allen 5-Pak' of Tv disaster films . . . last night I dragged out my WARNER HOME VIDEO VHS tape of "Flood!" and watched it again for the 1st time in a few years. Then I plunked my WARNER video of "Fire" into the VCR and watched that, too.

I'll have to go to the WARNER ARCHIVE site and check out the '5-Pak'.
