Really shows what San Francisco was like in the 1970s


It's got the Embarcadero Freeway, which collapsed in 1989. Alcatraz when it was still dilapidated for the final scene, they drive right through the Marina, Downtown, the Mission, the docks. They even show a scene during a Giants game at Candlestick Park. A lot has changed, but a lot looks the same too.

My favorite bit is they show Harry going into a 'massage' parlor in North Beach and shows the surrounding porn houses including the famous Mitchell Brothers, and in fact he crashes into a porn shoot (tons of porn movies were filmed in SF in the 1970s).
