Track at the end?

Anyone know what it's called or anything about it?

That song was probably just done for the movie only -- never actually recorded for release to the public. I don't even know who sang the song. Since this was a low-budget movie, Jamaa Fanaka, would not have paid an established recording artist to sing the song. The song and singer wasn't even listed during the movie's final credits. It was used in the opening and close of the movie.

I did remember the lyrics from "The O'Jays" 1967 song, "I'll Be Sweeter Tomorrow (Than I Was Today)." A group of guys and girls harmonized the lyrics, Do do do do do do ... wooooh.....

This film has a very entertaining soundtrack, sort of bargain-basement R&B but good music nonetheless. I didn't expect to see the performers credited at the end, but I was still disappointed not to see any name mentioned.

The track is called "Theme from Emma Mae (Long To Be Back Home)", performed by Keisa Brown. A single was available on Marsel Records... you may want to seek it out on eBay.
