i do believe his 'something new' was just wanting to f*ck her in the ass. thats all i can see from the small amount of screen time the dude gets. shame cuz i only got this for mr englund.

'can i get....any of you c*nts....a drink'

It is implicated that he likes anal-sex becuase of the way the scene is put together. You don't actually see anything, but he puts the girl on all four in the bed, and says he's gonna "ride her like she's never been rode (spelling?) before", to what she reples "No, not like that!" or something to that effect.
He then tells her he's paid for her for a full hour, after which she freaks out, runs away, and he gets 2 prostitutes for the price of one to keep happy.

He's like in the movie for some 5 minutes as most, which is to bad, 'cause Englund was the reason why I became interested in the movie in the first place.
Not much to see really.

He's in it for more than 5 minutes. He's in the opening scene, we catch up with him around the middle for a while, and then near the end as well.
Robert Englund was great, and so young.

I know we were probably supposed to hate him as a character but because of my attraction to the actor I found myself almost attracted to the character, haha. That being said, I never really saw "surfer" in Robert (his page on this site says that he does and has been on TV talking about it before) until this movie but when he takes off that shirt and you see his abs...I could totally see it.

As a great admirer (physical and otherwise) of his my favorite scenes to look at, which I ran back about three times on the DVR, were the ones when he was wearing jeans and no shirt. The time he steps outside the door to look for Judd, the light was great and you could really see his muscle tone, especially in the abs, I was basically melting. I need to see more of his earlier work because he looked really good in this and I know there are some ladies that will back me up on it!

Another note: I totally saw the trademark swagger that I thought only came out when he plays Freddy in Buck...take a look at the first scene when he is pursuing the girl around the bed, he does this very smooth movement that I can't really describe but it reminded me of when Freddy stalks toward people...and it was pretty sexy to someone like me who is already quite fond of him. If anyone can think of a better way to describe that please tell me because I have come across some sort of writer's block, haha. I will stop gushing now...sorry this was so long, kinda got away from me.

Also, this is yet another source of Quentin Tarantino's thievery. The first line in this movie is by Robert Englund, as Buck, telling the prostitute, "I'm Buck, and I'm here to (BLEEP)." Tarantino uses that in "Kill Bill".

I swear if you watch enough of these old B movies from the 70s, you'll eventually find that QT has never had an original idea in his entire life.

I hate to pick and I am not picking on you but if the caption was working correctly on my TV the night I watched this, I am fairly certain the line is "I'm (he might've said "The name's..." Buck and I'm rarin to *blank*" which is why I can't even understand why people say the line is the same, because it is decidedly not. It might have been "inspired" by the original line but I think that's it. Just my observation having seen both films. The lines are close enough to each other but I thought the way everyone talked about it he just used the same exact one.

Currently watching: "Life On Mars" (ABC adaption)

He was simply paying an homage to Hooper. So many people do it, especially in the horror genre; it's a sign of respect. Tarantino even teases about it in Reservoir Dogs. Too many people accuse him of being a phony, or a thief, but to me, his love for the medium is what is the obvious factor in his films, Mr. Film Scholar. Gimme a break.

Poor buck. I'm sure many of us have been there.

There's nothing worse than putting the ground work in with a lady, only to find she won't rear load.

It is dissappointing.
