Remake? Yes I want a good remake!

Who would you cast in the remake of this film? Best Judd? If you have some idea for another actor write please here. My few tips: Steve Railsback, Powers Boothe, Billy Drago, M.C.Gainey, Brad Dourif, William Sadler....

it may be a good idea to remake it. It sure can't be worse then the original. Tobe Hooper is a Pethetic filmmaker, and a remake might be better. Then again TCM remake was Bad!

Someone who spells pathetic" pethetic" calling tobe hooper a pethetic director , well that says alot to me. Dude texas chainsaw massacre {the original} not your precious remake is one of the greatest movies ever made. I didnt say horror movies i said ALL MOVIES EVER MADE. And plus eaten alive is based on a true story of a man named joe ball in texas

reply

"precious remake"

The remake was Crap! As I said. It was crap. The original was OK, but still not very special.

Tobe Hooper has NEVER Made a good movie. NEVER!

Yes he has, Poltergeist, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Lifeforce. All very good movies;)

reply

Poltergeist and Salem's lot were two very good movies.

reply

The Funhouse was better than Halloween (though Carpenter is a much better director than Hooper)

reply

Texas Chainsaw was based (albeit loosely) on a true story as well.

no one could play Jadd better then Neville Brand did.....I mean they have made enough remakes as it is

Josh Brolin would be a good choice.

Dude, I love Tobe Hooper's other movies, but I just couldn't get through the first 20 minutes of this witout turning it off. The acting was horrible (come on Robert Englund you're better than that)the sets looked horrible. It's like they just reused the set from TCM but crapped it all up. I also think that given the way that remakes are generally way worse than the original that it's just best that they leave this one alone.

reply

STOP with the REMAKES ALREADY

reply

No thanks to remakes. You should have watched the ENTIRE movie, slow start, but it gets much better.

This movie is pretty good, what makes it not great is because it sucks from poor Production values.

This movie popped up in my head after watching, Evils of the Night, the movie posters for instance, must have had the same artist, both movies have some of same ideas and BOTH movies have Neville Brand in them, so after doing some research, I realized why. BOTH movies had the same Executive Producer(he must have been on a STRICT budget with both films), but what ruined Evils of the Night and saved Eaten Alive, was the fact the Producer hired Tobe Hooper to direct this film, while Evils of the Night he made the DISASTROUS decision to direct it himself, ruining a movie that could have been quite memorable

no remake- why not make a film based on the real joe ball case (has someone already done this?

TRUE to whoever said the sets looked fake.

the second to final scene- the chase through the woods- felt just like the near identical scene in the original "Chainsaw" (which used real locations to great effect).
