Ever seen it in the theater?

I would love to see this at a midnight showing or a horror fest. Anybody ever seen it in the theater?

I saw this when it first played showcase theaters in the New York suburbs. This was November 1977. It played at a rundown triplex on a double feature with David Cronenberg's RABID.

I smoked a lot of weed and the first film to start was EATEN ALIVE, and I thought I was tripping.

RABID, in comparison, was a disappointment. It just didn't work for me. Cronenberg's SHIVERS(THEY CAME FROM WITHIN) was so much better.

So, I sat through RABID and watched EATEN ALIVE again.

The theater was, relatively, empty. It wasn't exactly a ROCKY HORROR experience.

I saw EATEN ALIVE again in 1984 under a different title, and the response was more spontaneous, but that was because people were there for the other movie it was playing with.

Yes, I saw it in the theatre when it first came out, and I loved it ! It was very scary, and I fell in love with Neville Brand. I 've often wondered how it would seem to be now, 35 years later....I 'll find out soon, as I have just ordered it from Amazon.

No, but I would love to get a time machine and see it in theaters during it's original release. I bet it would be an awesome experience and the people who did get to are very lucky.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.

My sister brought me with her friends when I was a kid to see it at a drive-in at Tacony-Palmyra Drive-In, Palmyra, Nj. It was playing with The Brood
