firefight - The Sergeant *minor spoiler*

Hey all. I was just re-watching this great movie and I noticed something I'd like to share.

When Captain Clark and his Rangers storm the church they enter it guns blazing. The First Sergeant to the right of Clark is hit in the arm, and the Sergeant on the FAR right of Clark is (obviously) surprised and return fire.

The far right Sergeant in question is so surprised by the enemy fire I must ask if the actor portraying him was even told there would be enemy firing. He looks genuinley shocked! He must be either a very good actor or he wasn't told the gunfire would take place in the scene he was in.

Anyone have any idea? Maybe from a behind-the-scenes video or interview or something?
