Put Your Weight On It!

Hi, just want everyone to know that Blueberry Hill is a very real bar in Rudy Ray Moore's hometown of St. Louis, a few doors down from Vintage Vinyl where Rudy Ray sometimes makes appearances to sign autographs. In fact, Chuck Berry still to this day plays an occasional show at Blueberry Hill.

Muhammad Ali stole a line from Rudy Ray Moore on at least one occasion, if not more - namely "I done rassled with an alligator, I done tussled with a whale, I handcuffed lightning and threw thunder in jail"

But, despite all this, I can't figure out what Rudy Ray Moore meant when he said "Put Your Weight On It!"

"Enough of that technical talk, Foo!"

Yeah, that's one thing about this movie. He was really, REALLY pushing the catch phrase: "Put your weight on it!"

You can actually get wasted if you take a shot everytime he says it. I mean, what the hell? Did he have a warehouse full of t-shirts with the phrase printed on it? You'd think he owned stock in the the "Put your weight on it" company, seeing as he said it like a zillionty gajillion times. At some point, the movie editor had to have said something about it. And the scary thought is, what if he DID and they cut out some of the "Put your weight on it(s)"? Maybe he wore the phrase out during the actual filming, and the world became immune to it's charm without even knowing it.

LOL!! A frightening but clever thought!

Not to be too "official" on the subject of this very funny movie but I always assumed "put your weight on it" was a fairly obvious reference to dancing and while a bit, silly, really didn't seem out of place in the club.

Well I'm pretty sure he was asking those persons in attendance to take the weight that they possessed and to promptly apply it upon "it"...either with extreme force, or gently.

Time for me to expand your brain, so kick back and relax while I explain..
It comes, unsurprisingly, from the act of sex..when a small hung mans up on deck.
Giving it what he's got, but not getting it done.. so the lady tells him how to give her, her fun... namely PUT YOUR WEIGHT ON IT.. give it all you got..use your body to sink that c*ck.. so when Brother Moore said it alot.. it simply meant GIVE IT..ALL YOU GOT.. So now you got it, and now you know.. so you don't have to wonder like some junkyard hoes.. You no business born, insecure, junkyard, rat soup eating MFERS!!
