A question about the scene with Rosa

There is a scene when Ana sits with her doll and Rosa enters and tells Ana the story how she was born. She says: When you were born your father was very annoyed. Three girls! But it seemed to me that Ana was the middle child because Maite looks younger. Or am I wrong?

I have noticed that too. Little script error.. :)

LO QUE PASA ES QUE LA TIA DE ANA QUISO DECIR ES QUE SI SU PADRE HUBIERA SABIDO QUE IBA A TENER TRES HIJAS, EN LUGAR DE NADA MAS DOS LE HUBIERA DADO EL INFARTO, BUENO DE CUALQUIER FORMA SI ALGO TIENE EL IDIOMA CASTELLANO ES QUE NO SE DEBE TOMAR TAN TEXTUAL. NO SE QUIEBREN LA CABEZA.

I don't think Rosa meant "three girls!" as in Ana is the third. Granted, reading the subtitles would lead one to assume that she is continuing her thought from "When you were born your father was very annoyed". I think he was annoyed cuz she was his second daughter, and then Rosa just throws in that there was even another girl born after her making three.

I thought the "three girls" was related to Ana too when i first saw it, but I didn't think of the fact that she is the middle child.

I agree with WeGetIt. Rosa is a pretty unreliable witness throughout the film!
