What is the significance/symbolis m of the chicken feet?

Everytime Ana looks in the fridge - and she does this quite a few times - there's a bowl of chicken feet to which her gaze is drawn. As this recurs it's of significance but I'm not sure what. Although referred to in several of the user reviews there's no suggested explanation to be found. Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, I noticed that too. Could be too obvious, but I just assumed it was a symbol of death, given her preoccupation with the subject and the fact that she seemed somewhat transfixed by it.

The film is called Raise Ravens, there are chicken feet in the refrigerator and on the wall in the girls' bedroom there is a picture of a duck. Clearly there's a significance with birds.
