I remember this flick mainly because it was the first horror film I ever saw at the movies as a kid (my mother took both me and my-then baby brother to see it.) I remember being definitely scared by some scenes in the film (the ending, and also the part where that old man was trapped in his home at the night by some creature---possibly Bigfoot.) Years later when I saw it on TV, the parts that scared me at the movies still creeped me out. What's cool about this film was that there was no gore or explicit sex scenes or anything---just pure genuine scares and suspense---what a real horror movie should have. I think it's got overlooked a lot because it didn't have any big major stars in the lead, but it's still a classic '70s horror flick, IMO. Cool to hear that it will be on DVD soon, too.
