Wow. Been forever since I saw this!

I remember seeing this on Saturday afternoon tv waaaaaayyy back. It really sucks that tv (cable & regular) doesn't show these fun, old, low budget deals anymore.

I couldn't remember the title, but I did remember one that one line from the old swamp guy- "Gonna make a rug outta that thing!" So I Googled it & BAM.
I *must* Netflix!

Have owned the VHS for maybe ten years now, but have probably only watched it maybe 4 or 5 times. Might try and watch it again. Made by the same people that made MOUNTAINTOP MOTEL MASSACRE and THE AURORA ENCOUNTER.

I just watched it for what I think is the 4th time today. It is my second favorite Bigfoot movie ever made (only behind Legend of Boggy Creek). Dennis Fimple and John David Carson were both great and seemed like they really were best friends rather than actors playing best friends.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.

I remember this flick mainly because it was the first horror film I ever saw at the movies as a kid (my mother took both me and my-then baby brother to see it.) I remember being definitely scared by some scenes in the film (the ending, and also the part where that old man was trapped in his home at the night by some creature---possibly Bigfoot.) Years later when I saw it on TV, the parts that scared me at the movies still creeped me out. What's cool about this film was that there was no gore or explicit sex scenes or anything---just pure genuine scares and suspense---what a real horror movie should have. I think it's got overlooked a lot because it didn't have any big major stars in the lead, but it's still a classic '70s horror flick, IMO. Cool to hear that it will be on DVD soon, too.
