Casanova surfaces!

Fellini's Casanova was broadcast last night on Sundance Channel, in a beautiful print. It will be showing again on the 16th, at 230AM. Is this the precursor of a DVD release?

Just saw the film last last night on Citytv in Canada. My friend and I were definately blown away. I've seen 8 1/2 and though these are the only two of his films that I've seen I am going to check more of his work. Anyone have any suggestions as to what to check out next(that is available in R1)?

Thanks!

See Amarcord.

The Amazon page is entirely correct. Their version is region free, but the dvd print, or the print they lifted it from, is very murky and filled with grain.

Last film seen: Robert Bresson's Pickpocket - Brilliant!

Personally I hated Amarcord. I would go for Satryicon.

See City of Women, Amarcord, Juliet of the Spirits, Roma, Satyricon and Nights of Cabiria

The thing about Fellini is that he really didnt make 1 bad movie. You could just go ahead and watch them chronologically one after the other and believe me they are all great!!!
