I just watched this movie for the first time and I'm quite disappointed. I hated the ending, the plot wasn't very good and I just didn't like it. Quite a disappointment! The initiation of Sarah is so much better!!

I don't think Carrie and The Initiation of Sarah are all that similar really. Yes they both have a bullied girl & some supernatural ability.
But the plots are completely different.
Sarah had LOTS of better options than what she did, for one thing. Carrie, not so many. The ending to TIOS was simply dreadful. Really, truly dreadful.
I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.

(Also, The Initiaion of Sarah the remake, or the TV movie from the 70s?)
No - your movie sucks and this one is great.
shareWell, I think the film is great. It has been a favorite of mine for many years. As someone who is rather lonely and has trouble making friends (and if I do make them they don't stay for long) I identified with Carrie a lot. The story is dark yet very powerful and has a lot of beautiful moments which I think are unforgettable. Sorry but I don't agree with your post at all.
