Bathtub scene

One of the saddest moments for me - in a film filled with sad moments - is Carrie's post-prom-rampage bath at the end. Beleaguered by feelings of loneliness, embarrassment, fear, uncertainty - it's all, tragically, on Carrie's face.

Yes...it's a great scene. DePalma and Spacek really make the most of it.

This is a faithful saying...Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

my college roommate couldn't get passed the soap in the hair.

Reading the paper can really be depressing. Mr. Dithers fired Dagwood again.

lol that college can't teach the word "past" ?

Yep great scene.

Even though I didn't feel all that much sympathy for Carrie (since she killed innocent people INCLUDING Tommy (in the novel) & never tried to use her powers to escape her nutbag Momma (!!), the scene was still a bit sad.

But what bugged me almost as much was that soaping of her hair. UGH! I hate when people wash their hair with soap (or shampoo) in a tub.

The soap was apparently an allpurpose soap of the time, meant to be used as a shampoo & as a soap.

But you don't rinse your hair or body very well with the same bathwater...ITCHY!!!!!!

I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.
Didn't he discover America?
Penfold, shush.

Carrie just looked exhausted. Physically, mentally, emotionally...poor thing.
