She's young enough...

She'll forget in time.

What?! Dr. Schneider must be dumb as the pile of rocks that Carrie reaches through to grab Sue. LOL

Now, let me say that I love "Carrie." I saw it during it's original theatrical release, not long after I graduated from high school and many times since then.

And how much do I remember from high school? A LOT... and none of my friends perished in a burning gym, let alone ALL of my friends.

While I thought the same thing that it was ridiculous for the doc or mom to say that, you have to remember that this was a popular theory in those days:
That time literally healed all. They believed that, back in the '70s.

Maybe time eases some things, but in the case of the characters in this film....I can't see Sue getting over it any time in the near future.

I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.

Penfold, shush.

That's true, they did. And down the road, when she was still having nightmares 30 years later, whoops, guess we were wrong, Sue. LOL

Time heals things is a 70's thing? lol. I'm from the 70's. Don't recall people running around saying time heals things people just like in the 60's they were all running around saying far out and groovy.

I was a kid in the '70s so I can't swear personally to anything lol
But I did learn in college that psychology was more 'geared' to time heals everything back in the day.

Its like how in the '90s, codependency was the big thing.

While both beliefs are still *around*, not so many people feel those ways today.
