LISTED AS ROMANCE?

So, I guess that every single movie ever made counts as Romance now, huh IMDb?
Recently, there's been a storm of movies being listed as Romance, even though they aren't Romance movies! Among them: "American Beauty", "Network", "Birdman", "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid", "Sunset Blvd", "Planet of the Apes", and more. All of these films have romantic elements, but they DO NOT COUNT as Romance movies! So far, the worst one is "Carrie". How IN THE LIVING **** IS "CARRIE" OUT OF ALL MOVIES A ROMANCE FILM. IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE! One guy asks Carrie White to the prom in the middle of the movie, and for half of the Prom sequence they have a nice, somewhat romantic time before it becomes a horrific nightmare. I guess any movie in which two characters go on a prom date is now a romantic film. Or any movie with two characters who are romantically involved in it IS OFFICIALLY ROMANTIC. ALSO, ANY MOVIE WITH ONE MOMENT OF HUMOR IS A COMEDY NOW. "Star Wars" is a comedy,
"The Shawshank Redemption" is a comedy, "Jaws" is a comedy. I think there was one scene in which a person smiled in "Schindler's List", and doesn't Oskar Schindler have a spouse? I guess that means that "Schindler's List" is a romantic comedy. Does that seem like a bit of a stretch? Well, it shouldn't, because now "Carrie" is literally listed as Romance. It's annoying and doesn't make any sense.
This is my signature I guess. Hi.
