Netflix version has been cut/scene missing

Melanie Mayron's character (the cashier) gets ready for her date with this suave, blonde, wealthy guy. On the Netflix version, they don't show that when she excitedly goes out to the car, the hot blonde guy is in the front of the car with a hot girl, and that there's another disgusting looking guy in the back seat, meant for Mayron's character. She gets into the car with disappointment, but "of course it was too good to be true" look on her face, while this guy is all over her. I think that's a very important scene in the movie, and I don't understand why out of all the pointless scenes in this movie, that is the one they left out.

This scene was cut in my vhs version, too. Yes, it was a great scene that was ruined by cutting the part when Melanie Matron gets into the car.

I don't recall that seen at all. It wasn't in the HBO version I just watched.

I remember that scene too and I was wondering what happened to it when I bought the DVD years ago.

I recently seen a retrospective of the film on TVOne's "Hollywood Unsung" series and the producers and director said that there are some scenes that were cut from the film that they add from time to time whenever it is shown on network television. So, perhaps, you may have watched that scene when it was shown on TNT or USA or some other cable network.

Yes i remember that scene. Apparently Danny Devito and several other now-recognizable actors had scenes cut from the movie but are reinserted whenever it's shown on tv so they probably cut other scenes like this short for timem
