Interesting little snapshot of history...

I particularly loved the contrast between the reality of Australia 'in the day'- a country still so very young and trying to find its feet, and Peter's Greek life. The Greeks seemed so much more polite and cultured, owing to their eons old culture.

You certainly get the idea that it must have been a MASSIVE culture shock for Greek immigrants when they arrived in Australia. They must have thought it was the end of the world...
