QT and Burnt Offerings (OT....kinda)

I just got around to watching Burnt Offerings last night and was pretty impressed overall. It got me thinking about something I read about 10 odd years ago from Quentin Tarantino, this was around the time of Grindhouse coming out. I remember reading about how QT had an original print of this film from its 70's theater run when it got to the part where Oliver Reed was just about to confront Mrs. Allardyce it cut out to the "scene missing" screen and then Oliver Reed being dead on the roof of the car. He said something about how not knowing what happened in that scene enhanced the film overall or something like that and that it was one of the main inspirations for having the striptease scene missing from Death Proof.

Now, I'm having trouble finding anything online about that interview but I know I'm not tripping. Can anyone clarify further on this or better yet find a transcript of the interview? I'd appreciate it very much.
