Where is the real house located?

I loved the movie when it was on TV and I was six years old. I have the DVD and watch it several times a year but always on Halloween.

I wish it would come out on Blu-ray most of them are dead but they could get the little boys impute.

Anyone know the location?

The Dunsmuir house is located in Oakland, California.

And the James Bond film A View to a Kill. When it appeared I thought "that's the house used in Burnt Offerings".

I believe it is the Dunsmire (sp?) mansion in San Fransisco. It is the same house that Pierce Brosnan was talking about remodeling in Mrs. Doubtfire when he first re-connects with Sally Field
