Ozark Bule = Will Geer?

Will Geer, later to become a film and television actor and best remembered as "Grandpa Walton" of "The Waltons" TV series, was a close friend and associate of Woody Guthrie.

"Ozark Bule," as played by Ronny Cox,could be a renamed Will Geer, who was still living and working at the time and perhaps had his own reasons for not wanting to be depicted or mentioned in BOUND FOR GLORY.

On the other hand, Ozark Bule could be a composite character, based on a plurality of men Guthrie had known, probably including Will Geer himself.

(I probably should have googled "Ozark Bule" before undertaking this post but, oh, well!)
