Woody from Toy Story.....

...had to be inspired by this character! In a scene near the beginning, when the dust storm is coming, David C. is wearing an outfit very similar, with cowboy hat, chaps, red shirt, etc. I haven't researched it, but does anybody know? Even the face of Woody from TS is similar.
