My memory of this film

It's been almost 30 years since I've seen this movie, but one scene is permanently etched in my memory -- and no, it has nothing to do with Lynda Carter's breasts.

Bobbie Jo and Lyle are walking through the desert. They sit down and -- viola! -- Bobbie Jo starts playing a guitar and singing a song that begins: "Are you lonely tonight ..." I have no idea where that guitar came from because Bobbie Jo wasn't carrying one, but I guess Wonder Woman summoned her powers.

Anybody got any clips of her tits?

Remember when after she left the drive-thru? She was walking through town and stopped in front of a pawn shop window, and was looking at some guitar. She must've bought it from there.

Thanks for the reply. I vaguely remember that scene. In the scene I mentioned, the guitar appears out of nowhere after Bobbie Jo and Lyle go walking in the desert. I suspect they had the guitar in his Lyle's car, but it seems like a continuity error because Bobbie Jo didn't go back to get it.

EDIT: OK, I'm watching this now online, and I've found the scene. It appears at about 14:00. They're walking through a stone pathway, then there's a dissolve, and they're sitting on a blanket while she plays guitar. I guess they went back to his car to get the blanket and guitar during the dissolve.

Hey WarpedRecord, guess we both love obscure 70's movies. Yes, the guitar scene was a bad edit in my opinion! Ford also didn't put 454 Cobra's into 1970 Mustangs. How about the scene where they're all naked with the old indian eating 'shrooms? Or the 2nd cop chase scene when the cop car suddenly bursts into flames for no reason?? I'm not sure how I missed this drive-in classic.

Hello, Soulkitchen67: Yes, we do have the same taste in films! These '70s classics continue to be relevant to me, as does pretty much everything from that decade except for the avacado appliannces and shag carpeting.

It's been about 35 years since I've seen this, so I don't remember the Indian and the 'shrooms or the cop car bursting into flames. I need to seek this out again. A friend was supposed to send me a copy, but sadly, he passed away. I know this in on YouTube, but I just don't like watching movies online.

This was a staple on HBO late night around '78 or so. I probably watched it a half-dozen times then. It would also play at my local drive-in (of course!), but I was a bit too young to go then and my parents and brother didn't want to take me.

It was great, a bloody and violent road movie with Lynda Carter looking absolutely stunning. Amazing how the sheriff was on top of them at every turn!! I was impressed with Marjoe, so I'm going to have to check out When You Comin' Back Red Ryder?

Saw this film in 1976 as the 2nd film of a double feature with 'Shivers' http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073705/combined being the first film. Both films contained nudity. Must have been nudie night at the old Mayfair theater in Brooklyn. Double features were fading away by 1976. The theater closed soon after and was replaced with a McDonalds.

Her breast were amazing especially on Blu Ray?

Lynda Carter is some woman.

reply

She's a wonderful, wondrous woman of wonder -- a wonder woman, if you will.
