shareHeh, I agree. It scared the hell out of me. Watched it the first time on Synapse's amazing DVD release and I was expecting a more conventional b-movie from the 70s, it was quite a surprise.
Part of the oddness of the flick I think comes directly from its soundtrack, which is so unique and experimental and spooky that it stands out from anything "genre" made on the 70s, and I've watched quite a lot of movies from this period!
