Death by Discoteque!

I can't believe that this movie never crossed my path until now. I seen it being played on TCM and thought what is this? So glad I taped!

This was a horror thriller that I don't think they intended to be campy but is. And that is a good thing. When I seen mark Goddard was in this I had to give it a try.

The acting was surprisingly good. The only scary scene was when the bald mom went psycho on her kids. You just have to see it too believe it.

The end though was the best. The one guy goes crazy and starts throwing a woman with long hair into a dancing crowd I could not stop laughing!

If you are into weird obscure films this is for you. I enjoyed myself immensely and am so glad I gave this a try!

Is this really a true drug like the ending said?

7 out of 10.

That 'bald psycho' was the babysitter. Not the mother.

No.
According to Jeff Lieberman, the New York Post did an article on Blue Sunshine, but apparently got its facts mixed up. The film ends with a statement that suggests the film is based on true events, but in actuality its entirely fictitious. However there was confusion when writing the article because it stated that Blue Sunshine was a real LSD epidemic and the film was based upon it. This is, of course, untrue.

Anyway, I enjoyed the film and likened it to thrillers in Alan J. Pakula's Political Paranoia trilogy.

Only more offbeat of course.

Examples:
All the President's Men (1976)
The Parallax View (1974)
Klute (1971)
