Is this film worth watching?

I've never seen this film, I wasn't even born when it was released, but for what I've read it seems it bombed and had awful reviews. However some people seem to love it. So is it worth to see this?

Each to their own, i think it was on TV once, Mum taped it thinking it was the one with Shirley Temple in it - it became a childhood fantasy.
i'm in search of a copy in any format i'd be able to view. i'm in Aust.

I live in Australia too. it's not difficult to get, since it was released on dvd by russiandvd.com .You can find it sometimes on ebay or amazon, but I'm not sure about buying it after reading some commentaries. The main reason I wanted to see this film was elizabeth taylor in a fanstasy film. But I may regret it.Cheers.

charmless and leaden.

badly directed, scripted, acted and designed.

like being forced to watch a soviet propaganda movie from the 1950's.

so if you go out and buy or rent it now you only have yourself to blame.

so there!

One of my favorite movies ever! But it is pure nostalgia from a better time when I was 5 1/2 or something. I am a music major and I think the music is gorgeous, so that's a plus for me.

It's the most ROFMAO hilariously bad movie I've ever seen, and Jane Fonda (whom I worship) is the most hilariously bad of them all. This is one that Jane doesn't even mention in her autobiography!

I love the scene where Jane (the evil "Night") unleashes all her ghosts and goblins and poor little Margarita Terekhova (playing the "Jar of Milk") squeaks "I think I'm going to curdle" (at least in the English-language version I've got, though the Russian might be even funnier for all I know).

Go to eBay and do a search on fonda blue bird and you'll find a still shot of Jane that kinda looks like Darth Vader in drag.
