Green politics

At various points in the film we see the continued devastaion to the forests around the town. By the end the sight of the destroyed and dead trees is horrible. Worse is that the factory, which is growing as the trees are dying, is producing nitrates so one can imagine the effects of the factory waste on the remaining greenery, as well as the health of the workers and townspeople.

Clearly the fate of the forest for the benefit of an enlarging factory is a symbol and metaphor of the political situation being subtly dissected in the film.

Ever tried, ever failed?
No matter.
Try again, fail again.
Fail better.
