Dabney Coleman

I've got a PAL DVD issue of this film on the Elstree Hill label. It's not
the greatest transfer but I suppose quality, original prints are few and
far between. There also seem to be some missing scenes. Shame,
as Black Fist is an excellent mid 70's, LA street film with some great
acting. Richard Lawson is fantastic as the lead (very natural) but
special mention has to go to Dabney Coleman!
He pulls off an incredible performance
as a dirty cop. It's unususal to see acting of that calibre in such
a low budget film. The script is also pretty decent containing
enough twists and turns to keep things interesting.

ANOTHER special mention has to go to Philip Michael Thomas...who plays TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ROLES!!!!! Plus, his future Miami Vice co-star, Edward James Olmos, turns up! You're right...great acting all around!

This movie is cut/censored for it's UK release. That might explain why you are missing some bits..unfortunately the original print for "Black Fist," which was an entirely different movie before it was pulled from theaters, is lost forever. It's a shame because it is a very good film..
