Missing scenes?

So I bought the DVD. There are no special features on the DVD.
But I remember a scene from the original film that is not on the DVD!
When the bus is pulled out from the hanger Harold Goulds character looks up at the bus and is angry that the Coyote logo has the dog running backwards on it. This scene is not on the DVD. Why release an edited version?

I first saw this movie on VHS years ago, but I don't remember this scene ever be included. However, I have heard of others talking about it, so I'm sure you're right. I know of at least two other deleted scenes, too, but I don't know if they were ever included in a finished edit of the film. One can be seen in the movie's trailer where the chef is on fire, presumably after the bomb explosion (I'm not sure) and Tommy Joyce literally blows the fire out and says "I forgot to make a wish" and then there's a still photo on the old VHS box and also in the limited soundtrack release of Kitty up front in the cockpit with Dan and Shoulders and she's wearing a different outfit that isn't seen in the movie. I'd love to see an uncut extended version of this movie.

It may have been in the broadcast TV version. Scenes often get added or removed for TV. DVDs are usually the original theatrical cut.
