One of my childhood faves!

My dad took me to see this & I think he fell asleep. lol!

*I*, on the other hand, ate it all up! I remember seeing Doug McClure in all those 70s monster flicks & I thought he was So cool. I wanted to *be* Doug McClure! (& who wouldn't since he got to be so close to Caroline Munro?!)

Was just looking at it again on dvd tonight & was both charmed & slightly saddened. I thought that today's 7 year olds would probably cry - "That's so fake!" at the monsters.

This seems to be one of those movies that's ripe for a remake, but I hope they don't.

I'd say that this movie should not be remade, but that there should be a movie based off of the book. The technology now exists for it.

- Aging is a physical problem, and physical problems are amenable to engineering solutions.

I remember seeing this at the drive-inn here in texas....sitting in the back seat wide eyed and enjoying every minute of it. My parents on the other hand,well, they fell asleep in the first 15 min of it.....
