Why did the big guy bloat up like he did after 1975's LTTF? He was a pretty large sized man in both People and Core but looks closer to his regular size by the by the time Warlords came around in 1978.

Was he on pills or maybe drinking heavily? Or just eating out alot? I don't really know anything about his offscreen life outside of the fact he died of cancer. When was he diagnosed?

Just wondering if maybe he was partying too much with all the new proceeds from his classic sci-fi films. I wonder if he was gettin' all the babes back then.....

All I know was that he was a tremendous chain smoker, and this lead to his death.
