The way its designed, it almost looks like it might actually work in the real world. lol! (esp. given updated mechanics & whatnot)
For all the complaints fans of the book may have about this movie, the Iron Mole is a great prop.

Have you never seen (the original puppet series) Thunderbirds? This Mole was a blatant rip off of Gerry Andersons creation. Even the names the same. And yes it would work in real life. I`ve seen it. Or was it a dream?
shareMaybe, but Anderson's Mole was certainly influenced by the one in Burroughs' books half a century earlier.

The Iron Mole interior is very Cyber Punk.
