Hey guys been wondering what equipment did John Carpenter use to make the soundtrack for assault on precint 13, specifically the synth and drum manchine(if he he used one)Doesnt seem to be info out there, maybe he might of mentioned it in commentary or something.

Apparently Carpenter either borrowed, or borrowed time on a Moog Modular system owned by Dr Dan Wyman, a music professor and owner of a local studio. This man here:

Presumably he also had access to a Rhodes piano. As for the percussion, it sounds like a simple ticka-ticka-ticka sequence that could have been done with the Moog.
He also worked on the music for The Fog. You could be right about a Rhodes for the piano piece.
