Book Alice Reads

What's that book she's reading? I think the cover says Fictions; is that Jorge Luis Borges' Fictions then? It wouldn't surprise me, the movie has several ideas about space, paradoxes and infinity that probably would have pleased the Argentine master. My favourite Borgesian moment was when Alice climbs the wall, only to find out there's another estate on the other side of it - it just doesn't end.

This world is a comedy to those that think, a tragedy to those that feel.

I think it`s definitely Fictions as Borges was a favourite of most of the New Wave directors, someone is seen reading it in Rivette`s Paris nous appartient. And the house is reminiscent of many in his work.
