running time?

I just covnerted the film over to disc using the super old (1981) vhs tape that was released by Media and uses the Albino title. However the box (and the imdb) state the film has a run time of 97 mins. The tape actually runs 87 mins. Can anyone confirm whether the media tape is cut down or if the running time listed here and on the box is just wrong?
