You have to admit, the jokes about Rerun always being hungry and always eating, worked a hell of a lot better with him being fat than had they gone with their original idea of a skinny white boy. That would've NEVER worked.

It was funny when everyone made fat jokes about him and he'd look at the person in an angry way, like, "Hey, cut that out!"

On October 21, 2003 Fred Berry died at his Los Angeles home where he was recovering from a stroke.
Say what you want about Rerun, but Fred Berry had great feet for a big man. He had more moves than Ex-Lax.
