Real names and character names

Did anyone else notice all the actors had the same first or last name as their character?
Ernest Thomas – Roger Thomas
Heywood Nelson – Dwayne Nelson
Fred Berry – Fred Stubbs
Mabel King – Mabel Thomas
Shirley Hemphil – Shirley the waitress
Danielle Spencer as Dee was not much of a stretch
