I'd cast Ioan Gruffudd as Shem, Diane Kruger as Fulvia and Evangeline Lilly as Liz Becker.

Agreed that Ioan Gruffudd is great for Shem. Same look, only sexier.

If it were 15 years ago, I'd have said Annie Lennox for Octavia. She can be steely and seething, and pulled off a similar hairstyle for Eurythmics' "There Must Be an Angel" vid.

Cate Blanchett could tackle it, probably.

Portia Di Rossi as Fulvia.

Kirsten Dunst as Octavia's assistant.

Can't think of any current male stars hot enough or mature enough to play Adam or Rudi. Every comtemporary actor is too young, too old, too action-hero pumped, or too limited in terms of charisma.

If one were remaking it as a complete comedy, or even a "French & Saunders" sketch, I'd say Jen Saunders as President Clara. She could sell that look.

Or, for hardcore F&S/AbFab fans, Dawn French as Pres. Clara, Jen Saunders as Fulvia, and Joanna Lumley as Octavia!

While they're at it, Jane Horrocks as Octavis's assistant.
