Scooby Doo is hangin' 'round with Dynomutt!
While Scooby Doo is tangling with a spooky ghost,
Dynomutt is doin' what he does the most.

They make a super pair, with a super show to share:

Hooray! Thanks for posting this! I've been after the Dynomutt series for a LONG time now. "The Lighter Than Air Raid," in which the villain inflated everyone has long been a favorite of mine. Glad to know we'll finally get to see this stuff again!

I LOVE the Scooby-Doo portions of this show. 'Mamba Wamba and the Voodoo Hoodoo' could well be the best Scooby-Doo episode ever (with Micky Dolenz as a voice to boot!) For what it's worth, here's the lyrics to the rewritten, reanimated title sequence for the syndication repeats of the Scooby portions (under the title 'The Scooby Doo Show'):

"Got it all together for a brand new show,
Scooby-Doo is here and then away he go!
While Scooby-Doo is runnin' from a spooky ghost,
Shaggy's there, doin' what he does the most.

Hey come on get involved, there's a mystery to solve
Hang around for Scooby-Doo!

(instrumental)

Hey come on get involved, there's a mystery to solve
Hang around for Scooby-Doo!
(Shaggy) That's my pal-
(Scooby) Scooby-Dooby-Doo!"

There was an instrumental version too that aired every once in a while.

I need to pick this one up.

Anyone have it???

Yes I just got it at Barnes Noble last week. I've only had time to watch the first episode so far though. This was always my favorite of all the Scooby Doo series. One thing has me curious: on the back of the box there is a scene shown with the scooby gang riding in the Falcon Car with BF and Dynomutt. I'm not sure if this is an actual episode in the set or not though. I guess I'll have to watch them all to find out.

This was my favorite SD series, too. For some reason, I've always felt that this one was way better than the original. It could be that the plots were more well-suited to Scooby; it could be that there was less of Fred and Daphne and more of the other three; it could be that in most cases, the infamous "Scooby Doo Rule" (where the first person they meet was the bad guy) didn't apply; or it could be that a combination of all the elements made it succeed more than the others. (Actually, it could be that Micky Dolenz did an episode, but that's another story...)

I thought maybe I was the only one that liked this series the best. But I guess not since they released it on DVD. My favorite episode was always the"Headless Horseman" Halloween episode.

That was a really good one. I've always preferred the one with Old Iron Face, though. (The image of a woman with what looked like a medieval shield on her head riding sharks like they were a surfboard has been firmly ingrained in my mind since I first saw that episode at four.)

You're right, that image seems forever stuck in my mind too! I've been pretty much ignoring the Dyno Mutt episodes. Although I watched them as a kid they just don't hold the same appeal that the Scooby episodes do now. Saturday mornings were certainly better back then though. I always enjoyed the Krofft shows a lot too. I'm hoping we get a Captain Caveman DVD set soon.

So where can you find the season 2 episodes? I know where to find seasons 1 and 3, but need season 2.

reply

Are they coming at with Season 2&3? The DVD set is only Season 1.
