Wilderness of Big City Mountain?

Beast woman episode, and there's a mountain in Big City?

Super Thug episode, memorable for Blue Falcon and Dynomutt out of work, working as street vendors, Blue Falcon grinding the organ while Dynomutt holds the cup as the monkey.

Dynomutt does some interesting impersonations of Bogey, a Gabor (don't you like me, DAH-ling?), Arnold Horshack (sounding like Marvin from the Superfriends. Surprised some genius never decided to do a cartoon version of Welcome Back, Kotter).

reply

Well, Dynomutt was voiced by Frank Welker, who did Marvin.

Also surprised they didn't do a Kotter cartoon; but, it was a little older crowd (viewers) than Happy Days.

Kotter actually made it into the comic books. I got about three issues.

Promoted in a comic book set with Shazam, Isis and Superfriends, all Saturday morning programs, it seems likely someone thought a Kotter cartoon had potential, but cartoons then only worked if several of the castmembers agreed to appear.

I'd say it's a good guess Travolta wasn't doing it, Kaplan was probably opposed as well, and he would have been the main one they would have wanted at that time.

Yeah, I remember the comic, but the mentatlity there is a little different than network animation. Doesn't mean it wasn't pitched. Hanna-Barbera pitched a cartoon to feature Farrah fawcett, as some sort of superhero. Alex Toth (creator of Space Ghost) did the promtional art, which is shown in the recent book Toth: Genius Animated, from IDW. There was also a pitch for an animated Bonanza, with a sci-fi makeover.
