Ramona - the character with a great message conveyed
I did not want to broaden my review for the sake of particular characters. Therefore, I decided to entail this on the board.
As I said in my review from September, the 12th 2004, all character from Rich Man Poor Man are worth considering. They teach us a lesson of life. But I think that one of them is, undoubtedly, Ramona, Wesley's girlfriend.
She loves him from the beginning but she is not "seducive". Rather she appears to be gentle. that's why Wess is after her (in the long run, men prefer such women...)
When she happens to make love with Billy, she does not surrender but is able to admit her guilt. That is something that can be considered a precious flair of valuable women.
Finally, when she finds out that she is pregnant, Ramona does hesitate whether to commit abortion and kill life within her. However, she decides to give birth to the baby. That is the moment of the series that most young women should see.
Problems and fears do not necessarily have to lead us to murdering the baby inside the mother's womb. GREAT ANTI-ABORTION SCENE!
Whenever I watch ramona in this series, she makes a kind of modell of "a true woman" in my mind. Do you agree with what I say??? Please, answer and share your experience.
Cinema is a good way of escaping from problems and sorrows of the world.
