I've always knew of Klugman from his Twilight Zone appearances and later on, on a guest appearance on Diagnosis Murder, however, I never knew he had his own telivision series.
I discovered this show one day and have since been watching it whenever I'm home. It's a good show and Klugman is a very intriguing actor.
It's sad but during the fifth season of the show, wasn't he diagnosed with lung cancer?
Klugman also starred with Tony Randall on The Odd Couple.

I have come to the conclusion after nearly a million hours of tv watching that Jack Klugman was the finest TV actor ever. His Twilight Zone ep. In Praise of Pip is maybe the finest acting ever in TV. The trumpet and billiards episodes close behind.
Always wondered why he didn't go to films. He could stick with the best there too. But, I am glad he didn't.
The first 4 Seasons were excellent but as the series went on and Klugman gained more creative control, it became so preachy that it was practically farce.
