'Football' dubbed in

I just watched the "Quest" two-parter "The Longest Drive" (I wish they'd release more than just that and the pilot on DVD, but it's better than nothing). About an hour and 23 minutes in, Wakely says that what he loves and misses about Yale is football. But there are two instances where you can clearly tell by looking at his mouth that "football" isn't what he originally said at all. And by the looks on his and Quentin's faces, he's obviously talking about something much more "va-va-va-VOOM" than that. (Then he goes on some more about football in a wide shot where, if you look closely, his mouth isn't even moving.)

I'm not that good a lip reader, but it looks like maybe Wakely said "chicks" the first time and "lovin'" the second time. I can understand getting rid of "chicks" if they'd used an anachronistic word, but I don't know why they would have replaced the topic altogether. (It could be that Yale wasn't co-ed yet, but were the guys chained to the campus? Okay, I'm probably reading way too much into this.)

Anyway, I wonder if this weird edit was made for the broadcast or just the DVD. Does anyone know what the original dialogue was and why they changed it?
